System-Hop in The South Bay

Please join us for the second, SFAS member system hop this year.  This event will take place in the south bay this time from Joe’s house in Soquel, to Grant’s house near Santa Cruz, wrapping up at Phil’s house in San Jose.  This is a FREE Event for members only.  No guests please due to limited numbers of attendees.  The timing for this event is listed below with some overlaps included.  Address of locations will be provided to the members after sign-ups are completed.

Grant’s house, Santa Cruz: 12:00 –  3:00

Phil’s System:

Two John Curl Parasound JC1s driving a pair of Vapor Joules (pretty rare [5 known in captivitiy]), with a JC2BP pre-amp and a JC3Jr phono preamp.  Six ASC tube Traps home to move around the room.  Phil’s source material consists of over 3000 albums, gathered over 60 years of collecting, 25,000 songs on iTunes played through Amarra and many hundreds of CDs.  Albums played on Rega 6 with Ortofon Bronze Quintet cartridge through the JC3jr.  Digital is played on an iMac, with External hard drive through Amarra, or Oppo CD player, both played through Benchmark 2 Pac.  Phil uses mostly VooDoo interconnects and speaker cables.
If you would like to bring some music to Phil’s house, please bring CDs or a thumb drive.
